If Steve Bruce is still manager, we will probably follow the "Bruce Method"

Big names, ex-stars, big wages (for the Championship). I'm thinking more toward Sheringham or Kanu than Jerome. 'Cos thats Steve Bruce's method, and he doesn't learn.

Vaesen (can't see Taylor staying)

Johnston (I know he's been our best midefielder this year but, unless we can find someone better I'd go with him at RB)
Cunningham (Seasons contract while he gets his coaching badges)
Bruce (Upson when fit, Bruce hasn't exactly looked that much out of place in Prem and should be able to cope in ...sorry can't bring myself to say it)
Sadler

Pennant (I think he'll realise it would be in his interests to stay at least another season)
Nafti
Kilkenny
Gray

Heskey/Forsell (can see one. if not both, going)
Solskaer (On loan from Man U with each paying 50% of his wages to get him match fit; with a view to sign him if we go up AHEM!)

Squad:

Doyle
Tebilly
Oji
Hall
Lazaridis
Clemence
Campbell
I'd be tempted to give some of the youngsters the opportunity to prove themselves with the remaining 4-5 places.

Also if Izzett and Dunn can prove their fitness and want to stay then you'd want them in your team wouldn't you.

I honestly can't see too many of our players being coveted by prem clubs - would you honestly pay 25-30K a week for a player who might give you 4 games a season!!

I'm confident that we will come straight back up, oh and I also feel that Bruce should be given another season to put it all right; I'd like to see Morinio win the prem championship without Terry, Lampard, Makalele, Cole etc.

Would Heskey make a better goalkeeper?

Bring back the original Monster Munch, lets start a petition, we are great at them!!! :)

Oh now come on Heskey as goalkeeper - Haven't we been saying all season he doesn't know where the goal is??????

Bennett

Rowett
Purse
Michael Johnson
Lazaridis

Ndlovu
O Connor
Luntala
Sonner

Adebola
Furlong

I believe we could beat Readings record for most points in a season ;)
Maybe a spot for Ricky Otto and Kevin Francis???

That could be a good call, he needs to ge back up to match fitness/sharpness, and could here - but he'd probably rather go out to a Prem club if he could.

Bet we dont even try for him though.

Personally, i'd give alot of thought to trading in the 4-4-2 so something different. The system failed us, as did the players employed to play it, and perhaps with a change of personel should come a change of ideas?

...A 4-3-3 perhaps, would be quite useful in the CCC. I remember watching Wigan last season, and Jewel was sending his boys out with a 4-2-4, it shows the type of football being played in that division!

...Personally, i think a 3-5-2 in the mould of that used by Middlesboro to throttle United this season, and that used by Harry to thwart the Gunners last season, could come in handy.

...We have the personel to forge an energetic triangle in midfield, with Johnson, Kilkenny, and Nefti, or Dunn, injury permitting.

...I'd favour wingbacks ahead of wingers, solely because they're easier to find, and secondly, and perhaps more importantly, Pennant aside, we dont have anybody with any sort of pedigree on the flanks! and in addition to that, our defence was shocking all night long, so perhaps tossing another body in there would help!

...Back 3 would include Upson, Oji and a new addition, Huth on loan perhaps? Then again, given that Matty's footballing careers on deaths door, i guess that would leave us needed a couple new centrehalves. I think, dare i say it, Oliver Teb-ullshit might be better equipped for the route one football of the CCC, and would consider retaining his incompetence if activity on the transfer front wasnt as lively as expected.

...Upfront, theres alot of talk about Forssell and DJ, me, im not too sure. Mikel's never been the same since the injury, and DJ stinks of non-league pedigree, though he does get some brownie points for determination. I'd do the Paul Jewel and look for 2 big, bruising centre-forwards with a bit of pace, and leave them to do the damage. Who? Carlton Cole, Jay Boothroyd on a free transfer (that way, atleast no moneys was spent on him, should it not work out). Theres always a good few bargains to find on the continent particularly in the Norwegian leagues. theres another Ole Gunnar out there waiting to be signed!

For a start id have Kilkenny in my starting line up, and wouldnt let Bruce within a million miles a starting place!

bruce had a great game against reading at centre half who correct me if i am wrong won the championship this year?

people have a downer on him because bruce snr has not had a great season but bruce jnr is one for the future!

But in every other game he played for us, he wasnt up to much... maybe he'd be ok for the Championship, but im not holding my breath.

I don't really rate him much, My best mates a Tranmere fan and when he was on loan to them none of the Tranmere fans rated him at all.
